I learned the basics of bookkeeping at the age of 16, in the office of my dad's own small business -- an independent automotive repair shop now grown to a thriving, second-generation enterprise.   

More than 30 years later, I am a professionally trained bookkeeper, tax preparer, and human resource advisor.
